"I started at my placement at YWH as I struggled to adapt to a main stream environment, my attendance and punctuality was poor and my behaviour was deteriorating. Moving to a smaller environment I was able to work on my behaviours as there was less pressure around me. I had access to more support with my education and felt as though I was being listened to and heard more. I had built solid relationships with all the staff and felt safe and comfortable to talk about personal stuff which helped me! Being at YWH also helped me with what I would like to do when I leave school, and this has made me feel more confident with post-16 choices. Even though I have days that I have not wanted to engage and have completely shut down, staff have been patient and persistent to encourage me and remind always to do my best. I am really proud that I have been able to sit me exams especially speaking and listening, because if I was still at mainstream, I believe I would not be able to do them. Honestly guys i feel shes made such an improvement and im so grateful as i never thought this would happen! Even at home her attitude is 100x better! We dont argue hardly!

CEOP is here to keep children safe from sexual abuse and grooming online. You can make a report directly to the CEOP Safety Centre by clicking on the Click CEOP button if something has happened online which has made you feel unsafe, scared or worried. This might be from someone you know in real life, or someone you have only ever met online.

CEOP take all reports seriously and we will do everything we can to keep you safe. As well as making a report to the CEOP Safety Centre, the CEOP Education website has information and advice to help you if something has happened to you online.
