Testimonials
The best way to understand what happens at The Young Women's Hub is simply to hear from the people who have lived it.
The words on this page belong to our students, and to the parents and carers who trusted us with someone they love.
Every story here is a young woman who found her footing. We hope their words speak to you
"My Time at the YWH has gone well. I have learnt how to manage my behaviour, especially in class, and learnt more in lessons.
I have learnt new ways of dealing with my issues and am looking forward to going back to mainstream school."
- Student A, Year 9
"My daughter always struggled at primary school and from year 5 was unable to attend due to severe anxiety and unmet needs. She was issued an EHCP and she started at The Young Women's Hub at the start of year 8. From the very start she was supported by all the staff and her days have always been planned around her needs. Every day is different for her but the staff always adapt to their students, never expecting the students to do more than they can. My daughter is almost at the end of year 11 and has achieved some amazing things during her time here, even on a reduced timetable she has received the best possible education. Students always receive praise and encouragement and it shows in the progress they make.

"My daughter joined The young woman's hub 3 years go, she was very anxious to attend any education setting, the teachers here at the hub showed nothing but patience and showed my daughter that she had control of her own feelings/emotions. The support has been amazing and gradually my daughter has built up the confidence to attend regularly at ease."
- Elizabeth, mother of student
I have found The Young Woman’s Hub to be a blessing for my granddaughter the staff are caring nurturing encouraging down to earth and a fantastic willingness to get the best out of my granddaughter and the Young Women that go there.
All the staff are very approachable and nothing is too much for them they go above and beyond with their love and support not only to the Young Women but to the Family as well. Highly recommend for any Young Woman who needs that support if main stream school is just too much for them.

The hard times were worth fighting through!
Honestly guys I feel she's made such an improvement and I'm so grateful as i never thought this would happen! Even at home her attitude is 100x better! We don't argue hardly! Her anxiety has really took a back seat for now. And for her to ask me to message about doing longer was just amazing!
The hard times were worth fighting through!
Parent Testimony, January 2025
"I started my placement at YWH as I struggled to adapt to a main stream environment, my attendance and punctuality was poor and my behaviour was deteriorating. Moving to a smaller environment I was able to work on my behaviours as there was less pressure around me. I had access to more support with my education and felt as though I was being listened to and heard more. I had built solid relationships with all the staff and felt safe and comfortable to talk about personal stuff which helped me! Being at YWH also helped me with what I would like to do when I leave school, and this has made me feel more confident with post-16 choices. Even though I have days that I have not wanted to engage and have completely shut down, staff have been patient and persistent to encourage me and remind always to do my best. I am really proud that I have been able to sit me exams especially speaking and listening, because if I was still at mainstream, I believe I would not be able to do them. I am also very proud that I have been accepted with a place at college and can move on without struggling."
- Student B, Year 11
My experience at YWH has been positive! I have learned how to manage my negative behaviours and work well in class.
A smaller school with staff who care was what I needed!
